    Dear Kindergartener,

    We hope that you are enjoying a wonderful, busy summer! We’re sure you and your parents are excited that you are so grown up and will be entering Kindergarten in September! Here are some things you and your parents need to know!

    • Our class is an AM half day class. It runs from 8:55-11:29 every day. Please see the Oak Tree website and the “Oak Tree - At A Glance” sheet you will receive the first week of school for more information about school hours. 
    • Most kids take the bus to school. If you are planning to drive your child, please arrive on time in the morning. Since our program is only a half day, every minute of instruction is important!
    • To be prepared, please see the school supply list provided by Oak Tree school. Make sure you have all the supplies you need on the first day of school. 
    • To help keep us all healthy, we are asking mom and dad to donate: 1 pump bottle of hand sanitizer and 1 large box of soft tissues. You can bring these in anytime during the first week of school.

    Finally, we are going to ask mom and dad to pack you ONE (nut-free) snack each day.  The snack should be ONE, SMALL food item for you to enjoy during snack time. Examples: cheese stick, small bag of goldfish crackers, granola bar. Don’t forget a water bottle!

    Please send all of your school supplies in on the first day of school in a large ziplock bag. Label the bag with your name and “Mrs. Hurley’s Class”. Classroom supplies (baby wipes, hand sanitizer, tissues) can be sent gradually during the first week of school.

    If you have difficulty obtaining any or all of these items, please let us know!  We are very excited to meet you at orientation and hope that you are ready for a fun year in Kindergarten!

    Kindergarten Supply List - Oak Tree School

     

    Backpack - full size (large enough to hold a full size folder)

    1 box of 24 Crayola crayons

    4 Elmer’s glue stick (large size)

    2 (2-pocket) folders - red for AM, blue for PM (plastic folders preferred)

    A pack of thin black dry erase markers

    A pack of pre-sharpened pencils

    1 package of baby wipes

    1 Composition book

    1 Pencil box. Red for the AM session and Blue for the PM.
