Meet Mrs. Barsa
Hello and welcome to an exciting year in first grade! My name is Mrs. Jeanne Barsa and I will be your child’s teacher in room 206. One of my main goals is to foster a warm and inviting classroom community where students can feel supported, valued, and have the opportunity to grow individually and as a group.
I can’t wait to learn all about you, but first I would like to tell you a few things about myself. I received my degree in Early Childhood Education from New Jersey City University. I completed my student teaching at Mill Lake School. Additionally, I have been a substitute teacher, 1st grade leave replacement, Kindergarten, second grade and now a first grade teacher at Mill Lake.
I live in Monroe with my husband and two sons, whose names are Paul and Anthony. Paul is a sophomore at Georgia Tech University and Anthony is a freshman at the high school. An interesting fact is that both of my boys attended Mill Lake School. Needless to say, I am a huge fan of Mill Lake! In my free time, I love to cook, swim, read books and spend time with my family and friends.
I am looking forward to getting to know you and your child in the upcoming weeks. We will have many wonderful experiences and opportunities to learn and grow in the days and weeks ahead.
