My name is Tamar Lopez. My teaching career began at Mill Lake School in 2001. I graduated from The College of New Jersey in 2000 with a degree in Education and Spanish. I later went back to school for my Master's degree from Rutgers University. For me, the most rewarding part of teaching is getting my students to love reading, as this is one of my favorite things to do. I also enjoy swimming, kayaking, hiking, dancing and travel. I have visited many countries, including Israel, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Panama, Spain, Brazil, Mexico, Iceland and Turkey. I was married in Costa Rica in 2009 and had my son, Tavo, in 2014.
