Snack Information
Please send in a healthy snack, separate from your child’s lunch that can be eaten in the morning. This “snack break” is a “Working Snack” and students will be eating while working. Therefore, please don’t send in difficult to eat items or food that creates a huge “mess”. Some healthy snack choices are: fruit, cheese, yogurt, applesauce, popcorn, dry cereal, granola or nutrition bars, cut-up veggies, small bags of snack chips or pretzels, raisins, etc. Candy is not permitted in school. All students will be permitted to keep labeled water bottles on their desks at all times. It is recommended that every child keep at least one, non-perishable snack in his/her backpack for the possibility that a snack may be forgotten. It would also be greatly appreciated if parents could donate some snacks to our class, that can be given to the children when student snacks are forgotten, dropped on the floor, etc. Please be aware that we have students with food allergies. If possible, please send your children in with nut-free snacks.
Thank you for your cooperation!
