As the new school year approaches, you and your child no doubt anticipate its beginning.  I am hopeful that this year will be filled with new learning, discovery, and fun.  Like you, I have many hopes and goals for all of us this year. I would like to share a few things with you to make the beginning of the year go smoothly.

First grade is truly an amazing year for growth, discovery, and learning in all aspects of your child’s life. I believe that first grade is a journey and not a race.  We are all traveling in the same direction just at a different pace.  Each child is an individual who deserves to learn in the best possible way for them. 

This is going to be a very exciting and productive year. I have many different themes and activities planned. I am very happy to have your child in our class this year. We will all follow the rule of treating others the way we want to be treated! We promise to provide a safe, caring and positive learning environment for your child.
