What do I need for this class?
-
Dear Parents,
Hello! I would like to introduce myself. My name is Shari Friedeman and I will be your child’s teacher for this coming year. I have many years of experience as a special education teacher and I am excited to be working with your child! I look forward to seeing the progress that will be made!
A schedule of your child’s day will be communicated to you when the school year starts. Each day, you will also get a journal sheet home in a binder that tells you some of the happenings of the day. Please send this back each day, thank you!
To make our classroom run smoothly, we are asking for donations of these items: tissues, baby wipes, hand sanitizer, paper towels, ziploc bags (all sizes welcome).
Pencils, crayons, glue sticks, and other school supplies will be provided. Also, a folder will be provided that will go back and forth to school and will contain any important information from the school or classroom.
Please remember that your child will be eating lunch in the cafeteria this year. If your child will be buying lunch, please indicate this each time, including on the first day. Also, include what you would like your child to buy. A menu will be sent home on the first day of school. You can also find the menu on the district website under Food Services.
There will be a snack time in the classroom so please send your child a snack each day. Please also send in an extra change of clothes and pull-ups (if applicable) on the first day.
I believe in open communication with parents in order to foster the most success in your child. Please feel free to contact me anytime should you have questions or concerns and I will be happy to discuss them with you. There will also be a space on the journal sheet to let me know anything you feel is important (ex: your child had a difficult time sleeping the night before or something changed in your child’s usual routine.) The best way to reach me is through email. I’m so excited to start the new school year and get to know your children! We are going to have a great year!
