During these pivotal times, the MTMS School Counseling Department wants to let you know that we care for you and we are here to support you in any way that we can. As School Counselors we are committed to providing a safe and supportive learning environment for all students and recognize the intrinsic value of every student, regardless of race, culture, sexual identity or economic status. While we don't have all the answers, we are committed to using our compassion, our creative ideas, and collective sense of humanity to ensure that we are fostering a culture that acknowledges the basic human rights of every member of our school community. We intend to provide opportunities for conversations to ensure that every student feels heard, supported, and validated, and ultimately work to be the change we want to see in the world. We see you, we hear you, and we are here to support you. We know that students may need spaces to grieve, feel anger, process emotions, and discuss how we can show up and be present for each other, our peers, and our community.

To support this, our School Counselors are available to connect with students in the following ways:

    - School Counselors will be scheduling QuaranTEEN-TALKS across grade levels to process current events

    - Students can schedule one-on-one time with their School Counselor to talk privately:

--> Private message through Google Classroom

--> Email your School Counselor directly

--> Message your School Counselor on Google Chat (Green Speech Bubble with the @ Sign in your G-Suite)
