Homework Policy:
Homework is an important part of your child's school experience. Supporting good work habits requires a joint effort. I will support your child and encourage good work habits during class. Your child will benefit greatly from your support and encouragement at home.
Homework Policy
Homework will be assigned each day during the week. I expect homework to be neat, organized and completely finished by the time the assignment is due.
If students choose not to do their homework, I will ask that parents begin checking and signing assignment pads as well as checking the homework for completion every night. For each missed assignment in a subject area, children will have points deducted towards the homework portion of their marking period grade.
If there is a legitimate reason why a student is unable to finish an assignment, please send me an email on the date the assignment is due stating the reason it was not completed. This email must be from the parent/guardian.
Please do not hesitate to contact me throughout the year regarding your child's progress. Since each school year is an adjustment for everyone, I will be in contact with you all weekly to give you constant feedback and updates. You can reach me via e-mail at Lisa.Guiral@monroe.k12.nj.us . I look forward to working together with throughout the year!
