Below are the sight word lists that the first graders will study this year. Sight words are words that children should be able to read by "sight," not by sounding out the words. Each week the children will be introduced to five new sight words. They will practice these words in daily lessons and center activities, and will refer to these words often once they are added to our class Word Wall. In addition to the sight word lists below, there are links to resources for sight word support and fun practice!
