Hope everyone has been enjoying the first few days of summer vacation! Nicholas and I certainly have. On Monday, we went back to Mill Lake (in the pouring rain!) to pack up the rest my things for the Extended School Year (ESY) program. Then, we went to Oak Tree to unpack and set up the classroom. My Oak Tree classroom is all ready for the first day on Monday, July 2nd.
Mrs. Lopez, Mr. Bowe and went tubing down the Delaware River yesterday. We left from Washington Crossing State Park in Titusville, New Jersey. Afterwards, we got ice cream from a neat place called, "It's Nutts!" We had a wonderful day together and enjoyed the river and of course, the ice cream!

Nicholas and I went to Great Adventure today and we had such a great day! We enjoyed the sky ride, as you can see from the picture below. "Blackbeard's Train" is our favorite ride! We had chicken nuggets and french fries for lunch and had a milkshake to cool off in the middle of the afternoon. Can you guess what flavor milkshake we had? How is your summer going?

The Fourth of July was a great holiday, even though it was VERY hot. We had a nice barbecue with my family and Nicholas and I went to the Monroe fireworks with Miss Papandrea, my older brother and his fiance. Did you have fun celebrating the Fourth of July with your family and friends?

Last week, we celebrated Mrs. Ginter's birthday. It was a great day with Mrs. Ginter and some of the other lovely Mill Lake teachers, past and present. In the picture below, you will see Miss Murray, Mrs. LeBron (who taught 1st grade at Mill Lake and now teaches Social Studies at the middle school), Mrs. Bifulco (who taught 3rd grade at Mill Lake and now teaches Math at the middle school), Mrs Ginter (the birthday girl), myself and Miss Silvers. Have you celebrated any birthdays this summer?

Last night, Nicholas and I had dinner at my parents' house and then we played Battleship. We always enjoy playing games together and Nicholas especially likes Battleship. Do you play games with your family members? What are some of your favorite games?

The last few weeks have been very busy. I am performing in a musical this week. It is called "Into the Woods." Have you seen the signs around Monroe Towsnhip? I will be playing the part of Florinda, Cinderella's stepsister. My costume is a fancy dress and I wear lots of fancy makeup.
The show will take place at the new Monroe Township High School on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:30 and on Sunday at 2:00. I'd love to see you there!

"Into the Woods" is over. We had four performances and each one was a lot of fun. I was so lucky to have my family and friends come to watch me sing, dance and act on stage. Some of the Mill Lake teachers came to see the show too! I felt very loved knowing that people were in the audience supporting me. Here is a picture of the entire cast and crew and Nicholas and I on stage after the show.

We went to "National Night Out" last night. Nicholas played games, bounced in the bounce house, went through the fire safety house, sprayed a real fire hose and did lots of other activities! It was a great night!

Nicholas and I went to Great Adventure yesterday. It was a great day. In addition to playing games and going on rides, we met Optimus Prime. We had so much fun together. Have you been to Great Adventure or any other amusement park this summer?
