The Monroe Township School District library program embodies a two-fold mission; to create a student-centered school library, which provides a safe, nurturing environment in which students can successfully seek information and concepts for their educational, informational and recreational needs; and to support faculty with a variety of resources that enhance instruction, increase knowledge of the curriculum and extends learning. To that end, the library program focuses on both students and faculty . In our students, we seek to inspire a life-long love of literature, further empowering students to interpret meaning from various forms of text as they become effective users of information and lifelong readers and learners. For our faculty, we strive to provide supportive resources for the enhanced implementation of the curriculum. Moreover, the school librarian seeks to ensure that our students develop the necessary skills and knowledge crucial to lead productive and meaningful lives in the 21st century. This mission recognizes the essential role of the school library program in the educational process as students reach their full aptitude and faculty are supported in their task of effectively and creatively delivering curriculum to the students.
