    Is it possible to work on my grades without being connected to the Internet ?
    Genesis is a completely web-based product.  An Internet connection is required.
    How do I make course recommendations?
    If selection of course recommendations is active in your school, (Your Guidance Department should be able to give you this answer) please following the following steps.
     
    1. Select Gradebook while in Genesis
    2. Select Rosters
    3. Click the View Recommendations button
    4. In the column labeled "Recommended Course", select a course.
    5. Click Save
     
    Is there a way to put "pass" or "fail" in for a student who does not have enough body of work to accurately measure their performance with a numeric grade?
    The grade table at each school does allow for these types of grades.  An example would be a grade of NGNG means "No Grade".  Your school may use a different letter combination.  Please check with your principal or guidance department.
     
    How do I find a student's telephone number?
    To find a student's telephone number, while in Genesis do the following:
    1. Click the Student Data Tab.
    2. Enter a search criteria, ie. The student's last name
    3. Click Search
    4. Click the student's identification number (this is the number to the left of the student's name)
    5. Click the Demographic Tab
    6. Click the Addresses Tab
    How do I find a student's schedule?
    To find a student's schedule, while in Genesis do the following:
    1. Click the Student Data Tab.
    2. Enter a search criteria, ie. The student's last name
    3. Click Search
    4. Click the student's identification number (this is the number to the left of the student's name)
    5. Click the Current Year Schedule Tab
    What are the requirements for merging classes?
    The requirement for merging two or more classes is as follows:
    1. Neither class can have any assignments.
    2. All classes must have the same semester code.
    3. There must not be duplicate students.
     

    How to Drop the Lowest Grade from a Teacher’s Gradebook?

    Go to your Gradebook and then select the Gradebook Tab.  Then go to “edit profile.”  Select the Categories Tab.  Once in the category in which they want the grade dropped from, do the following:
    1. Click the modify button on the right side
    2. Use the drop down button to select how many test grades they want dropped. 
    3. Click Save
