Medical, Dental and Vision Benefits
We offer Aetna Medical (Direct 10, Direct 15, NJEHP or GSHP), Aetna Dental and Aetna Vision. See attached Aetna NJ Enrollment Change Form to Enroll in Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits.
Along with the form I will need a copy of marriage certificate and children’s birth certificate(s) if applicable. You can enroll during open enrollment or if you have a qualifying life event.
Opting Out (Waiving) Benefits
If you are waiving medical, dental and vision benefits, please complete the Opt-Out Waiver form in your Genesis SchoolFi portal account along with uploading supporting documents.
You can opt-out during open enrollment or if you have a qualifying life event.
Opt-Out Payout
Employees who waive their Medical, Dental and Vision benefits for other coverage are eligible for a waiver incentive. All benefits must be waived to be eligible. The district has determined the opt-out payout will be $4,000.00 for waiving family benefits and $2,500.00 for waiving single benefits if you opt-out for the entire school year (7/1 to 6/30). If your start date is 9/1 or after the opt-out payout is pro-rated. Your benefit waiting period will apply.
